Hybrid cars are becoming popular all over the world with rising fuel prices and issues with global warming. Volvo XC60 Plug-in Hybrid Concept Hybrid cars will use two or more distinct sources of power to power itself and there have been a lot of alternative ways being designed to power vehicles. One of such car manufacturers is Volvo Car Corporation and they have taken the wraps off their latest offering the Volvo XC60 Plug-in Hybrid car still in its concept stage though.

On its own the XC60 Plug-in Hybrid’s all electric range is up to 35 miles.

The electric motor in the hybrid produces 70 horsepower

The four cylinder turbocharged engine produced 280 horsepower

This hybrid car is a super efficient hybrid and has a fuel economy of 100 miles to the gallon, as per the European driving cycle.

The power and the fuel economy that the hybrid is able to deliver is what makes this hybrid car something to watch out for.
Launch Of The Volvo XC60 Plug-In Hybrid
Volvo Car Corporation has now declared a date for the launch of the XC60 Plug-in Hybrid as of now, but has said that there will be a diesel electric V60 plug in hybrid which uses the same technology will be their first production model. The Volvo V60 Plug in Hybrid is expected to reach Europe showrooms be the end of this year.
