Green cars are eco-friendly vehicles scientifically adjusted and equipped with features that make it produce a less harmful impact to the environment in comparison with the usual internal combustion, gasoline or diesel-fed engines.  It is the same term used for LEVs, ULEVs, zero emission cars, low-carbon emission cars, and any other means of transportation, which exceeds the Euro6 average. Run on alternative types of fuels and/or highly developed engine technologies, green cars list includes clean diesel trucks and vans, natural gas vehicles, flexible-fuel vehicles, fuel-cell and hydrogen-powered vehicles, battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
However, because of the high level of technology applied on green cars, the cost of buying them has gone up exponentially. A hybrid car will be within the vicinity of $20,000 to $30,000 higher than its conventional counterpart. This has compelled a lot of people to mull over the efficiency of green cars and if the advantages that it presents are worth the extra costs that buying it entails. The truth is, there can be no standard computation that can be made to ascertain whether the payback for a green car’s augmentation cost is matches the value of its use. There are so many variables that need to be taken into consideration and the answers will be derived only on a case-to-case basis.  Some of the elements that will form part of that consideration include the erratic fuel prices, the ever-changing government incentives on the purchase of green cars, the retail price of hybrids or green cars, the vehicle’s fuel operating cost per mile, and other wild card factors like hybrid car additional perks. In addition, you cannot ignore the fact that people differ in their driving habits and one’s driving style has a direct impact on the car’s fuel consumption and longevity.
Nevertheless, despite all the skepticism on green cars and their efficacy, its benefits are undisputed. Green cars greatly reduce one’s dependence on oil. Plus, nobody would be able to contest that hybrid cars help reduce the world’s pollutants and that, in itself, is its own reward. No one can also contest the immediate savings on fuel consumption when one uses a green car. With the ever-increasing cost of gasoline prices showing no end, the resale value of green cars are amazingly high and it is setting a trend that is set to last for a very long time.
